The Oyo State Agency for Youths Development is a service organ of the Government to mobilize, guide, encourage and empower the youths of this State with a view of preparing them for smooth integration physically, socially, psychologically and productively into the mainstream of the society.
The Agency for Youths Development formerly known as the Oyo State Youths Development Council has its name changed through a law enacted in 2002 i.e. Oyo State Agency for Youths Development Law 2002.
To develop programmes and project that would protect the right of the Youths between ages 18 and 29 years, made them responsible citizen, empower them through skills acquisition, promote their full participation in the overall development process and improve their quality of life.
Empowering the youths through the skills acquisition and provision of equipment to be self reliant for sustainable future.
To train youths in leadership skills in order to become responsive and responsible citizen.
Registration, supervision, co-ordination and monitoring of all Voluntary Youths Organizations to perform effectively and efficiently in their efforts at youths development.
Capacity Building of youths in conjunction with all Youths Organizations.
